Chandler police arrest suspect in shooting that took place outside mall

PHOENIX — A 19-12 months-previous guy was arrested and faces a number of felony prices in relation to a shooting at Chandler Style Shopping mall on Monday night, authorities claimed.

Nathaniel Anthony Vensor on Tuesday early morning was booked into the Maricopa County Jail on charges including armed robbery and aggravated assault stemming from the taking pictures, the Chandler Law enforcement Division claimed in a push release.

Vensor just just before 7 p.m. on Monday allegedly shot 30 rounds from an AR-15 rifle into the air in the parking whole lot of the shopping middle in the vicinity of Chandler Boulevard and the Loop 101.

He allegedly pointed the gun at a sufferer and demanded jewellery, continuing to shoot into the air when the man or woman refused, authorities mentioned.

Vensor then fled in a car or truck right before law enforcement arrived, even though the victim ran to security inside the shopping mall. Police determined Vensor as a suspect Monday night time.

Chandler police responded to the mall on Tuesday all over 10:30 a.m. after stability noted observing Vensor shopping.

Vensor was arrested just right after 11 a.m. and was located to be in possession of 30 fentanyl capsules, according to court paperwork.

He was unarmed at the time of his arrest, authorities reported.

Online video surveillance of the incident confirmed Vensor and the target arrive at the mall alongside one another in a motor vehicle, according to court paperwork.

They were allegedly joined by Vensor’s girlfriend and another male and they all walked through the mall with each other, authorities explained.

The incident took place right after they exited the shopping mall and returned to their automobiles in the parking lot, in accordance to courtroom files.

Vensor was on probation in Pinal County for discharge of a firearm at a household composition, authorities reported.
