Summer Moisturisers For Rosacea: Moisturisers I Love

As soon as I published THIS POST about my current most-used cleansers, people were asking for a similar post for moisturisers for rosacea… ask and you shall receive! As I mentioned in the cleanser post, this isn’t an exhaustive list, it’s not the Ultimate All Time Favourite Moisturisers post, it’s just a summary of the ones I’ve been using a lot recently. I try a lot of products and tend to jump around depending on season, stress levels, how my rosacea is feeling, and general vibes. But if you’re looking for some warm weather appropriate moisturisers for rosacea, this post is for you!

DISCLAIMER: I am not a dermatologist, or a doctor, but I am a person who has lived with rosacea for 17 years and has learned a lot about it in that time. My blog is not a step-by-step manual for rosacea, it should be seen as more of a jumping off point: something to guide you and steer you in the right direction. You must always use common sense with regards to your skin type, ingredients, tolerance levels, application etc.

FYI, I have rosacea type 1 which is mainly under control through trigger management, as well as stress management, and finding skincare like the below that works for me. If you have questions about rosacea in general, this post is the mothership, covering skincare, make up, triggers, lifestyle, psychological impact and everything else you can think of.

Products with a * next to them were PR samples, if there isn’t a * it means they were bought by me. My reviews are always honest, regardless of who bought them. Clinique Moisture Surge 100H* – as you can see from the nearly-empty tub, this is a popular choice at the moment! I adore the way this feels on the skin and it’s my favourite of the bunch to use under make up as well as at night. I already have another pot waiting in the wings when this one is finished. Alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil free.

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermallergo Crème* – when LRP announced they were reformulating their Toleriane Ultra Fluid, you could almost hear the screams from across the rosacea community worldwide. Luckily, I’ve found the new product to be pretty similar to the previous one (apparently the changes are related to the addition of the microbiome tech found in their other products). NOTE: this is the Cream version, there’s also a Fluid version which I imagine would be even better for warm weather and/or combination skin. Alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil free.

Versed Dew Point Moisturising Gel Cream* – The name alone is evocative of how this product feels on the skin: light, non-sticky, very soothing. Alcohol, fragrance, and essential oil free.

Dr Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Re.pair Cream* – I really rate this range and this moisturiser is a great option in the warmer months. I also really like the sleep mask, it’s like applying lovely cool jelly to your skin! NOTE: this does include alcohol and some essential oils, I haven’t had an issue but I know some people are reactive to them.

Do any of these catch your eye? Do you change up your skincare for different seasons? What are your favourite summer moisturisers for rosacea?
