Kroger launches floral, sushi delivery on DoorDash
CINCINNATI — Kroger Co. now offers its customers the ability to order floral bouquets or sushi from its stores and get them delivered to their homes right away by DoorDash.
“By offering customer-favorite sushi options and premium floral bouquets through third-party marketplaces we are continuing to evolve and meet customers where and how they are shopping,” said Stuart Aitken, senior vice president and chief merchant & marketing officer at Kroger. “Whether you are craving fresh, affordable sushi for lunch or want to surprise someone special with a gorgeous fresh floral bouquet, you can now have the items delivered in under an hour. Providing fresh, affordable products to customers using familiar channels is another step in our commitment to provide anything, anytime, anywhere for every customer, every time.”
Kroger says it successfully piloted the offering in a few markets Now it is offering delivery from 900 sushi locations and 1,600 floral locations in supermarkets in the Kroger family of companies. Shoppers can use DoorDash’s marketplace app or website to buy custom-wrapped Bloom Haus by Kroger floral bouquets and freshly-prepared sushi, including rolls and combos, dumplings, poke bowls, and bottled sauces. Customer orders placed on DoorDash are prepared and packed with care by in-store sushi chefs and floral associates at Kroger’s family of stores, with delivery facilitated by DoorDash Dashers directly to the customer’s doorstep. Customers can also seamlessly gift flowers or sushi to a loved one for on-demand delivery using the DoorDash gifting feature.

Special promotions are being offered to eligible shoppers through December 24 to promote the new service. Kroger’s sushi and floral selection will be available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program that offers members unlimited $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders over the minimum subtotal.
