California hiker falls 70 feet in Tahoe National Forest, dog saves him in ‘true Lassie fashion,’ rescuers say

A California hiker who fell 70 toes in Tahoe Nationwide Forest final week was saved by his pet dog in “accurate Lassie fashion” following the pup led rescuers to its injured operator, officials explained.
